LAP LAB was present in Brussels for the New European Bauhaus Festival 2026, within the Heart of the Fair programme, presenting the EPIC CYCLE / BIP ONAC 01 developed in collaboration with the NEB goes South network.
This moment brought the cycle into a broader European context, connecting the work developed across Manteigas, Catarroja and Toulouse with the ongoing stages of Brussels and Zagreb. More than a presentation, Brussels operated as a moment of ASSEMBLY: a space to share the process, discuss the role of the publication, activate the network and position the EPIC CYCLE as a framework for future pedagogical, territorial and disciplinary experimentation.
The session addressed the development of BIP ONAC 01 as the first cycle of a broader structure, testing how architectural education can operate through real territories, institutional collaboration and urgent climatic conditions. From the mountain landscape of Manteigas to the flood-affected urban fabric of Catarroja, and from the exhibition moment in Toulouse to the European platform of the NEB Festival, the cycle has progressively expanded its scale, visibility and critical field of action.
In Brussels, the discussion also focused on the role of NEBgSouth as a network capable of connecting Southern European schools, territories and institutions around shared challenges. The assembly opened a space for reflecting on future collaborations, new members and possible continuities, reinforcing the importance of collective frameworks for architectural education in the context of climate transition.
The Brussels moment therefore marked an important point in the trajectory of the EPIC CYCLE: not as a conclusion, but as a public activation of the work developed so far and as a transition towards the next stage in Zagreb, where the publication will be presented and the future of the cycle further discussed.
